What is the English Parliament and where is it located?
Parliament is the group of lawmakers who make the laws for the country of England. It is located in London.
What was the main reason why the colonies went to war with England?
The colonist and the English Parliament disagreed about how the colonies should be goverened.

1.Parliament wanted to make the laws but colonist wanted their own laws.2.Parliament wanted to tax colonist but they did not have representation in parliament.
Why is the Declaration of Independence an important document?
Because the states said (for the 1st time) that the people have the right to rule over themselves. This is very different from counties that have had a king.

Women ran the farms while men were at war. they made gunpowder and uniforms, drove wagons and served as nurses and cooks.
