Fast Trend – Bullish
Setup = DB or test of Support with valid RB at 21ma.
Price above 21ema, 75ma, and 200ma.
Price must retrace to 21ema and reverse to confirm FT.
Min. retracement to 21ema is 2 bars making lower low.
Price <= 5 pips from 21ema when it retraces, from above.
If price falls completely below 21ema, FT is voided.
Fast Run Up:
Price starts from Range, 200ma, or 75ma.
Price moves up fast.
Does not retrace to 21ema.
Used for Counter-Trend trades at HPD/LPD & Fib Levels.
Normal Trend – Bullish
Setup = DB or test of Support with valid RB at 75ma.
Price above 75ma.
Price must retrace to 75ma and setup.
Price <= 3 pips from 75ma.
2-RB entry, except at News and NRT.
Can Counter-Trend trade if valid setup in opposite direction.
Slow Trend – Bullish
Setup = DB or test of Support with valid RB at 200ma.
If price is above 200ma, price must be <= 3 pips from 200ma, measured from the bar low.
If price is below 200ma, price must be <= 10 pips from 200ma, measured from the bar high.
2-RB entry, except at News and NRT.
If price drops > 10 pips below 200ma, voids a possible long trade.
Can Counter-Trend trade if valid setup in opposite direction.
News
1 hr timeframe starting at 02:00, 04:30, 08:30, 10:00 (EST).
Can use 3-RB entry.
Must trail stops. Cannot Stop and Reverse, except if Fast Run Up.
Can S&R if in trade before News/NRT and opposite setup occurs.
No Counter-Trend trading during FT. Can C/T if Fast Run Up
Fib Retracements
Setup = DT/DB or test of S/R with valid RB from current or previous day
Price <= 5 pips above/below 38.2% or 50.0% level.
If Buy Retracement (38.2% level is above 61.8% level):
Price <= 5 pips above 61.8% or <= 20 pips below 61.8%.
If Sell Retracement (38.2% level is below 61.8% level):
Price <= 5 pips below 61.8% or <= 20 pips above 61.8%.
Can use 3-RB entry.
Fib trades override MA Trades.
No Counter-Trend trading during FT. Can C/T if Fast Run Up.
1 Fib trade allowed per session. EUR & USD.
Must have S/R with Fib level:
Previous day S/R Setup <= 10 pips difference
Current day S/R Setup <= 5 pips difference.
DT/DB at Fib level does not count as a Fib trade.
HPD/LPD
Setup = DT/DB or test of S/R with valid RB from Previous day.
Price <= 15 pips from HPD/LPD.
Can use 3-RB entry.
Overrides MA trades.
No Counter-Trend trading during FT. Can C/T if Fast Run Up
1 HPD and 1 LPD trade allowed per session. EUR & USD.
DT/DB at HPD/LPD does not count as an HPD/LPD trade.
Small Range
Price has made 2 tops and 2 bottoms within 20 pip range.
Setup = Breakout and Pullback to range level at News or NRT.
Enter short at top of range if valid RB. Target low of range.
Enter long at bottom of range if valid RB. Target high of range.
Can use 3-RB entry.
Large Range
Price has made 2 tops and 2 bottoms 50+ pips apart.
Enter short at top of range if valid RB. Target low of range.
Enter long at bottom of range if valid RB. Target high of range.
If Breakout of range and Pullback, enter in direction of Breakout.
HPD/LPD with trend
- If price is past resistance, must move > 15pips as measured by low of highest bar
- One hit EUR session, USD session
- 3RB entry can be used
- HPD is stronger than MA except in fast trend
- If there is DT/DB, you can use HPD/LPD again
- 200ma determines overall bullishness/bearishness
- HPD/LPD rules do not overule small range rules
HPD/LPD counter trend
- If price is moving up past resistance, it must be > 15 pips as measured by the low of the highest bar (bullish)
- If price reverses at HPD/LPD and reverses, enter short if not fast trend
- One hit per session
- 3RB can be used
- HPD/LPD lines take priority over MA's
- Reverse this for bearish trades at the LPD
Fib with trend
- One hit per session
- Fib lines override MA's in fast trends
- S/R area must be within 5 pips from Fib line
Range Trading for Counter Trend
- Price can be anywhere around the MA's, range from high to low is > 50pips. Two highs and lows must be completed
- Enter long at bottom of large range and short at top of range
- Expect price to return to a previous or opposite S/R
- Exit when 1) Stopped out 2) Price makes opposite setup and reverses 3) Market is slow and stalls > 60mins or is late in day
- Major S/R (Fib, HPD/LPD,Newstimes) take priority
- If price reaches HPD moves > 15pips, it is considered breakout. If price retraces to the HPD, you would enter long. Opposite for LPD breakouts
Small Range
- Typically happens after strong move or waiting for news
- High from lows is < 50pips
- Two highs and lows must be completed to confirm small trend
- Common in early morning from 10pm to 2am Eastern
- Range is not confirmed until it bounces of the second equal high/low
- Only trade a small range when price breakouts and pullbacks or news time
- During newstime, wait for SB and RB
- Enter long at bottom of range, short at top of range
