A treaty signed by the United States and Mexico that agrees to the Rio Grande as the southern border of Texas and gave the United States control of what is now California, Nevada, Utah, and parts of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming in return for $15 million
Gadsden Purchase
Territory acquired from Mexico in 1853 that includes the parts of what is now Arizona and New Mexico not acquired in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo for $10 million
