First Continental Congress
A convention of delegates from 12 of the 13 colonies (Georgia is the one not there). Happened in the Late 1700's at Carpenters hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Called in response to the intolerable acts by British Parliament. They were to act as a unified body, arm themselves but not as a push for war. And they sent a letter to King George 3 affirming their loyalty.
Lexington and Concord
Late 1700's. The first shots of the American revolution. First real casualties. British blood was spilled. These battles marked the outbreak of open armed conflict between Great Britain and the 13 colonies.
Thomas Paine's "Common Sense"
proposed that ordinary people could participate in government. Very important document in the revolutionary era. Instant best seller. Committee created to draft declartation statement. Thomas Jefferson wrote Declaration of Independence.

what: relocation and movement of the nativ americans.many died on the trek.
significance: really sad for the indians and depressing time. the indians tried to be as "white" as possible yet they were still kicked out.
