1. Are you ready to clean? 2. Are you ready to insert the catheter? (Lubricate & test the balloon) 3. Are you ready to catch urine? (drainage bag attached/ tray close by) |

How to finish: |
- Remember to tug the catheter to position the balloon “nestled in the neck of the bladder” - Remember to tape the catheter in position, usually to the thigh to prevent irritation to the meatus - Remember to clean off the betadine from the penis glans or labia. |
