Why is the image of Nursing Important?

Publically, concerns about the image of nursing are most often associated with a deepening national and global concern about the evolving nursing shortage. When people are in the hospital they entrust their life to the RN.

doctor of nursing for those with a BS or higher in non nursing fields who want to pursue nursing.

DNP

Doctor of nursing practice, prepares clinicians, not educators. The AACN recommends that all MSN programs move to DNP by 2015.
