Is abortion legal?
Before 1967 abortion was illegal in Britain. Many women went to 'back street abortionists'. This was dangerous and in 1967 a law came into effect which legalised abortion.

In the Uk all forms of euthanasia are against the law. Any assistance is classed as murder or manslaughter. The fact the patient wanted to die is not a defence in the UK.
