Fertile Crescent
An area of rich farmland in Southwest Asia, forms an arc and is between the Persian Gulf and Mediterranean Sea.
Mesopotamia
Greek for "land between rivers", surrounded by the Tigris and Euphrates river, which floods once a year and left silt. This area had rich, fertile soil for farmers
