What part of the GI is affected?
Colon only

No and the serosa is completely normal. Only in Chron's Disease there is thinckening.
What is the typical histological finding of UC?
Difuse mononuclear infiltrate in the lamina propria, admixed with neutrophils and occasional eosinophils and mast cells. There is distortion of mucosal crypt architecture (cryptitis) and occasional crypt abcesses.
What is the most feared complication of UC?
Cancer (20-30 fold increase in risk)
