ulnar nerve
the ulnar nerve originates in the shoulder from the medial cord to the brachial plexus.it runs the full length of the arm to the little finger it. it innervates the muscles of the forearm and hand.
median nerve
the median nerve originates in the shoulder from the medial and lateral cords of the brachial plexus, and descends the full length of the arm and through the carpal tunnel and into the hand. compression of this nerve causes carpal tunnel syndrome.
musculocutaneous nerve
the musculocutaneous nerve originates from the lateral cord of the brachial plexus. it innervates the coracobrachialisis, biceps brachii, and the brachialis muscle of the arm. it runs down the arm and becomes the lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve in the forearm.
mental nerve
the mental nerve comes from the mandibular division of the trigeminal nerve. it emerges from the mental foramen in the mandible.it innervates the chin and lower lip.
iliohypogastric nerve
the iliohypogastric nerve is formed by fibers of l1 and t12.it innervates the transversus abdominis and the obliquus internus abdominis muscles and the skin over the buttocks.
