Sine (sin)
The ratio of the length of the leg opposite the angle to the length of the hypotenuse.

sin = opposite leg/hypotenuse
Cosine (cos)
The ratio of the length of the leg adjacent to the angle to the length of the hypotenuse.

cos = adjacent leg/hypotenuse
Tangent (tan)
ratio of the length of the leg opposite the angle to the length of the leg adjacent to the angle.

tan = opposite leg/adjacent leg.
Trigonomic Ratio
Ratio of two sides of a right angle.
Inverse Trigonomic Ratios
If you know the sine, cosine, or tangent of an acute angle measure, you can use the inverse trigonometric functions to find the measure of the angle.
