The Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail. -Key ecotourism attraction in Lone Star State. -Increases nature tourism in the coastal communities. -Conveys the value of conservation to local people. -Created by Texas parks and Wildlife department, but funded by the Department of Transportation. -Uses exisitng transport infrastrusture. -New viewing platforms and boardwalks. -Runs for over 600 miles , 300 bird stops, 9 wildlife refuges, 11 state parks ect. |
