SPACING
The amount of blank lines left between lines of text by doing hard returns whith the enter key.
SINGLE SPACING
To press enter once at the end of a line.
DOUBLE SPACING
To press enter twice at the end of a line of text.
TRIPLE SPACING
To press enter three times at the end of a line of text.
QUADRUPLE SPACING
To press enter four times at the end of a line of text.
KEYBOARDING ERGONOMICS
The correct keyboarding position and placement of furniture and hardware to prevent injuries.
WORD WRAP
Word Processing feature that causes a word to automatically move to a new line when it does not fit on the current line because it is full.
TAB KEY
The key used to indent a paragraph or move the cursor five spaces at a time.
ENTER KEY
The key on a computer keyboard that causes the cursor to make a carriage return and a line feed, in other words, when this key is pressed the cursor goes down and to the beginning of a new line.

The act of striking the Enter Key at the end of a line of text.
BACKSPACE
The key that when pressed moves the cursor one space to the left and removes the character that was in that space.

The keys on the keyboard where one's hands are positioned in order to begin typing.

The keys on the computer keyboard used to move the cursor up, down, right, or left.

Represents how fast a person types.

The correct seating position taught when developing typing skills.
KEYBOARDING
The ability to enter text by using the correct fingers without looking at the keys.
QWERTY KEYBOARD
The most common keyboard arragement, named after the first five letter keys located on the left side of the top row.
