How may intent be satisfied?
|
Intent may be satisfied through either one's purpose to commit an act or knowledge with substantial certainty of a certain result.

Assault
|
A person is liable for assault if they intentionally cause a reasonable apprehension of an imminent harmful or offensive contact on the part of another.
|

Battery
|
The intentional causing of a harmful or offensive contact of another or anything closely associated with that person's body.

False Imprisonment
|
To establish liability for false imprisonment, a plaintiff must prove: (1) that the defendant acted with intent (2) to confine the plaintiff within boundaries fixed by the defendant; (3) the defendant's act directly or indirectly resulted in such confinement with no reasonable means of escape; and (4) that the plaintiff was conscious of the imprisonment or was harmed by it.

One is liable for IIED if they intentionally or recklessly caused another to suffer severe emotional distress by engaging in extreme or outrageous conduct.

Trespass to Land
|
A person is liable if he intentionally and without authorization enters the land of another, or caused a thing or a third person to do so, or remains on the land, or fails to remove from the land a thing which he is under a duty to remove.

Trespass to Chattels
|
One is liable when he or she intentionally interferes with the possessor's exclusive possession and enjoyment of the personal property.

Conversion
|
An intentional exercise of dominion or control over a chattel which so seriously interferes with the right of another to control it that the actor may justly be required to pay the other the full value of the chattel.
