What are 2 theories of moral development?
-Piaget's theory of two different types of morality which are heteronomous morality and autonomous morality.

-Kohlberg's 5 stages of moral reasoning which are:

*Stages 1+2 (Preconventional level) when children make judgements in there own interests

*Stages 3+4 (Conventional level) when people make judgements in consideration of others

*Stage 5 (Postconventional level) when people make judgments in relation to things like laws, etc.
Heteronomous Morality (Piaget)
Stage when children think rules are unchangeable and they think that if you break the rules you automatically get in trouble.
Autonomous Morality (Piaget)
Stage when children understand that people make up rules and punishment is not automatic.
Moral dilemmas (Kohlberg)
Hypothetical situations that make people consider right and wrong.
Moral reasoning
The thinking process involved in judgements about questions of whats right and wrong.
