Amillennial
Belief that the eart will end wit the coming of Christ and believer are ushered immediately into heaven. Does not believe in a literal kingdom of peace and prosperity here on eath that will ast 100 years.
Angel
An incorporeal being created by God to Worship Him and act as His messenger (lit. Messenger)
Angel of the Lord
Usually implies the presence of deity in angelic form (specifically a Christophay)
Antichrist
A being who does the word of Satan in the last days. - The prefix anti has a double meaning: 1) against Christ, and 2)instead of christ.
Antinomianism
A belief system that states that only the Father was eternal God from the Beginning. It teaches that both the Son and the Holy Spirit were created out of nothing by God before anything else. (Lit. means "against law" and is often indicative of a flagrant lifestyle.
Ascension
The official return of Jesus to heaven in the sight of the disciples from the Mount of Olives
Atonement
(Lit. to cover) - Blood of Christ cleanses the sinner from sin's defilement. The term includes substitution, redemption, propitiation, and reconciliation. Substitutionary in nature. On the cross of Calvary, God placed our sins upon Christ and accepted Him in our place.
Attributes of God
those inherent virtues or qualities which manifest Gods nature. We do not know the number of attributes, but they are usually classified as comparative and absolute.
