Pressure group

A group of people who take action to try to influence the government about a specific issue

Campaigning

actions or events organised by an individual or group of people to achieve an aim

Direct action

Directly acting to create change or accomplished things e.g. marching picketing ,publicity ,stunts, petitioning

Indirect action

Asking someone else for using persuasion and advertising to motivate others e.g. leaflet,advertising,lobbying people in power and using celebrity support.

Target group

The organisation that the action is aimed on e.g. ministers, civil servants, parliment, political parties, public opinion or the media.

Money to attract members, distributes leaflet ,advertising organise events

The more members, the more powerful a group will be.

Have direct access to government and the decision makers and often consult government officials

Outsider pressure groups

Don't have access to the government or decision makers they seek public support and campaign using methods which is Direct action e.g. social networking sites
