What does the subjunctive mood express? |
It expresses a subjunctive or hypothetical perspective regarding facts or opinions. It expresses something that is desired, commanded, doubted, feared, possible, uncertain, etc. |

How is the subjunctive created? |
It is created by a verb expressing desire, command, doubt, etc. followed by a subordinate clause in the subjunctive. |

How is the subordinate clause typically introduced? |
The subordinate clause is usually introduced by the relative pronoun "que" meaning "that." If there is no preceding independent clause, the "que" expresses the idea of may, let, or whether something might or might not be the case.
