What are the characteristics of a standardized assessment?
It is uniformed and well established; it is always the same in content, administration, and scoring; there are administration and scoring protocols; there are established norms & validity; there is a description of its purpose.
Types and purpose of normative data?
Types: age, gender, & diagnostic grouping.

Purpose: Comparative analysis of individual's scores.
What does it mean if an assessment is Valid and what are the 3 types of validity?
It measures what it is intended to measure.
Face Validity: how the assessment meets its stated purpose.
Content Validity: The content of the evaluation represent the content that could be measured.
Criterion Validity: compares the assessment tool with another tool that already has established validity.
What does it mean if an assessment tool is reliable?
It has established that it is consistent and stable as it relates to measurement and scores.
Types of reliability?
Inter-rater Reliability: different raters will achieve the same score.

Test-retest Reliability: the same score will be achieved if the the evaluation is administered twice by the same person.
What are the different types of Prevention based interventions?
Primary prevention: reduction or occurrence of a disease within an at risk population.
Secondary prevention: early detection of problem within at risk population to reduce or minimize effects.
