School meals act- local councils had the option to give free school meals to children who couldn't afford them. This was put in place when they discovered that children would take in more if they had eaten However many local councils didn't provide them. Medical inspections were given to all children. However they did not treat the kids The old age pensions act was introduced for people over 70. They were paid 25 pence a week. |
