What changes in America did the industrial revolution cause?

Poor housing, disease spread more, high housing fees, crime increased, skyscrapers were built, education laws were changed to k-8, and more "leisure time" activities came around.

What two islands had many immigrants pass through to enter America?

Ellis Island and Angel Island.

How did Americans born in America react to the immigration?

They feared the new people as they were causing pay to be very cheap.

Only 150,000 people could enter each year and certain percentages came from certain places. Many were from Europe.

wokers protesting, bomb thrown into police line and protesters were shot at. some were killed

The Homestead Strike

first semi-successful protest at a steel plant. Riot broke out, several killed. Kept new workers from entering. Went for several months, later fell apart.

Pullman Strike

caused by reduced wages and increased rent, first nationwide strike. Federal troops end it.
