Love

Katniss: the girl who cannot love. The only people katniss allows herself to get attached to is Prim and Gale. She has spent her whole life trying to survive and love is a distraction to that. She does not want to have kids because she will be unable to protect them from the reaping, the hunger games and the Capitol.

FEAR

The people of Panem are controlled with fear by the government. Katniss tries to not say things about the Capitol in front of Prim, for fear that she will repeat it and be punished.
