what is the purpose of a brief and what does a good brief contain?
the purpose is to get everyone on the client side on the same page. people requesting the design unusually have bosses who give them budgets, and give the designer a point of reference.

a good brief contains:
-corporate profile
-background with market position, situation, and communication
-"the message"
-target market
-objective
-budget
-schedule
what is the difference between a graphic designer and a graphic artist?
graphic artist; have no rules
graphic designer: got hired and paid to communicate the message/ produce the clients concept.
what is crowd sourcing and the process?
when you ask questions of the "crowd".
Process:
client post job>designers respond with solution> clients pick the winning design.
