Muddled

The word used for the smashing if sugar, fruit, or mint.

Cordial

Any distilled liquor with added flavor and sugar.

Beer

Any fermented beverage made primarily from barley, hops, yeast, and water.

Ale beer

High hop bitterness, golden color, and full flavor. High in alcohol content.

Bock beer

Bock made with all malt barley with medium to strong flavors. Range in color from deep copper to dark brown.

Lager beer

Lagers are clean, crisp, and light in body, not as strong as ale in alcohol content and have a milder flavor.

Stout beer

It is sweeter and creamier than ale. Very dark in color with a strong full flavor.

Porter beer

Range in flavors from bitter to sweet. Medium to dark brown in color with a medium to full body taste.

Aperitif wines

Made from both red and white wine flavored with herbs, barks, and spices. Help promote an appetite and generally served before dinner.

Dessert wines

During the wine fermentation brandy is added to stop all the grape sugar from converting into alcohol. Gives it a great sweetness.

Sparkling wines

Are made through two periods of fermentation. Bottled before the second fermentation so carbon dioxide gas is released and captured in the wine.

Distilled wines

Can be distilled from any kind of wine, higher in alcohol content, and aged in oak barrels. Distilled wines are known as brandy and served at room temperature.

Table wines

Served at the table with a meal. Three different types to compliment different flavors.

White wine

Very dry all the way to sweet. Dry white wines are good with fish, fowl, and more delicate dishes. Serve chilled.

Red wine

Dry to soft with very strong flavors. They go best with red meat and hearty dishes. Serve at room temperature.

Blush wine

Medium to fruity and pink in color. Goes with light dishes and salads. Serve chilled.
