Explain what matter is.
Anything that has Mass + Volume. Matter makes up all things from the sub-atomic level (smaller than atoms) to the largest structures on earth. Matter is everywhere and makes up everything.
Explain Magnitude
Magnitude means the size of something. For example the magnitude of an earthquake measures the amount of energy released by the earthquake. The magnitude of a star measures how brightly the star shines.
Explain what a solid is.
A solid is the state of matter that has the most trapped energy. The particles that make up solids are locked into a solid "Matrix" which is a regular repeating pattern.
Solids have definite shapes and definite volumes.
Explain what a liquid is.
Liquids are a state of matter in which the particles can flow freely past one another. The particles slide over one another allowing liquids to take on any shape, while having a set volume (amount of space they occupy). The measurement of a liquids ability to flow is called viscosity. The higher a liquids viscosity, the less easily it can flow.
Explain what a gas is.
A gas is a very excited state of matter in which the particles fly around. Gasses can take on any shape and any volume. That is gasses will spread throughout any space they are released into (think about the smell of perfume or cologne-you can smell it all over a room-especially after gym class!)
Explain vibration
Vibration is a type of movement where particles or an object shakes from side to side and/or up and down. Think about your washing machine on spin cycle.
Explain what Plasma is and where to find it.
Plasma is the most abundant form of matter in the universe. While it's not as common on earth, Plasma's particles are moving so fast that they break apart. Plasma makes up the outer layer of all stars because of the extreme heat.
Explain what a Matrix is.
A matrix is a rigid structure/form that solid objects have. Matrix's tend to be regular repeating patterns.
Explain what volume is.
Volume measures the amount of space an object has in it or the amount of space an object occupies (takes up).
Explain what Mass is.
Mass (a.k.a. Weight) is a measurement of the amount of matter in an object, most people think of it as the same thing as Weight but it's not.

For example if you find your mass, it tells you how much bone, muscle, and other bodily materials you are made of.

Your Mass Never Changes Because of Gravity-Your Mass Does!
