exposition

the charactors and setting are introduced and the plot begins to unfold.

resolution

the loose end are tied together, you find out what happend to the charactors at the end of the story.

falling action

where the action begins to drop off and the events of the plot become more clear and or explained in some way.

conflict

attempts to try to solve the main conflict. there are usually several events. as the charactor attempts to resolve the conflict, suspence builds.

this is the point when the action reaches a turning point and interest and intensity reaches their peak.
