Stock Capitalization(Market Cap)

is the aggregate valuation of the company based on its current share price and the total number of outstanding stocks.

EPS(Earnings per share)

A company's profit divided by its number of common outstanding shares. If a company earning $2 million in one year had 2 million common shares of stock outstanding, its EPS would be $1 per share.

P/E(Price per earnings) Ratio

Is short for the ratio of a company's share price to its per-share earnings. As the name implies, to calculate the P/E, you simply take the current stock price of a company and divide by its earnings per share (EPS): P/E Ratio = Market Value per Share.

Beta

is a measure of a stock's volatility in relation to the market. By definition, the market has a beta of 1.0, and individual stocks are ranked according to how much they deviate from the market. A stock that swings more than the market over time has a beta above 1.0.

Merger

The exchange of one asset for another. A stock swap occurs when shareholders' ownership of the target company's shares are exchanged for shares of the acquiring company as part of a merger or acquisition.

Dividend

Shows the amount of dividend in dollars per share

Yield

Is equal to the dividend as a percentage of the stock price

Volume 100s

This column lists the number of shares sold(in hundreds). Multiply this number by 100 to find out how many shares were traded for that day.

Net change

How much the stock moved up or down

Close

Price paid for the stock in the last trade of the day

High and low

The highest and lowest prices paid for the stock that day

52 weeks high and low

The highest and lowest prices paid for the stock over that year
