Stock Capitalization(Market Cap) |
is the aggregate valuation of the company based on its current share price and the total number of outstanding stocks. |

EPS(Earnings per share) |
A company's profit divided by its number of common outstanding shares. If a company earning $2 million in one year had 2 million common shares of stock outstanding, its EPS would be $1 per share. |

P/E(Price per earnings) Ratio |
Is short for the ratio of a company's share price to its per-share earnings. As the name implies, to calculate the P/E, you simply take the current stock price of a company and divide by its earnings per share (EPS): P/E Ratio = Market Value per Share. |

Beta |
is a measure of a stock's volatility in relation to the market. By definition, the market has a beta of 1.0, and individual stocks are ranked according to how much they deviate from the market. A stock that swings more than the market over time has a beta above 1.0. |

Merger |
The exchange of one asset for another. A stock swap occurs when shareholders' ownership of the target company's shares are exchanged for shares of the acquiring company as part of a merger or acquisition. |
