What is a feature of Soul Theory?
The Soul Theory is saying that X and Y are the same person if and only if X and Y have the same soul.

What is another feature of Soul Theory?
The soul is usually understood to be immaterial (that is why it is unaffected by death), it cannot be seen, heard, touched, smelled, etc. This is a Cartesian Dualist idea, where the mind or soul is immaterial and the body is a material thing.
What are some problems of Soul Theory?
One way of arguing against the Soul Theory is to argue the existence of souls. Another problem with Soul Theory is that because we cannot touch or see souls, we have no way of knowing whether we always have the same soul. How would you know if someone you saw last week has the same soul today? The Soul Theory is about an enduring soul, so you cannot say that the same body contains the same soul at all times. Another problem with the Soul Theory is that all of our experiences and memories change who we are, so our soul is not so enduring.
