What impacts did Europeans have on the First Nations people?
The Europeans impacted the first nations by when they came over to Canada the Europeans brought over diseases that the First nations had never had so they had no immune system and they died from the diseases. Another impact would be that the Europeans started off the Fur Trade by trading Guns and other goods that the First nations did not have, for animal pelts. Another impact was that later on in the Fur trade some of the Europeans married the first nations creating the Metis people which there culture is a mix of both European and First nations. The French where the ones who it was more common for them to marry a first nation person. The French made an ally with the Ouendat who became middlemen for them in the fur trade. The British became friendly with the Haudenosaunee who where the natural enemies of the Ouendat. This created a war which the Haudenosaunee won, so the French lost their middlemen which created the need for Voyaguers to take their goods down the river to settlements so that they coul

Some impacts that the First nations had on the Europeans where that when the Europeans first came to Canada the First nations traded with them. This was a small impact, later on it led to the First nations teaching the Europeans how to hunt and fish and trap effectively in return the Europeans traded their goods like guns and taught them how to shoot animals. These are some of the impacts that the First Nations had on the Europeans.
Why did Europeans want to explore?
The Europeans first wanted to explore to find a passage from Europe to Asia Christopher Colombus was the first to look for this passage. The Europeans also wanted to explore to find gold which was supposedly in Canada, but when they where looking for gold they found the first nations and established a colony. While they where in a colony they met the First Nations and started trading their goods like guns to the first nations for beaver pelts because Russian beavers where getting scarce and the demands for felt hats had grown. This was the beggining for the fur trade. Once they started to trade with the First Nations that was more of a reason to explore.
What were the conditions in Europe that led to Europeans wanting to sail west from Europe and explore?
Some of the conditions that made the europeans want to sail west are, the Ottoman empire took control of the silk road so that goods couldn't get from Asia and back. The portugese found a way to sail around africa to trade with asia, but they protected this route with military force so that no one could use it to trade goods. Christopher Colombus a spanish explorer came up with the idea that he could sail up north and arrive at asia. Many explorers tried to find this northwest passage, but what they didn't find out was that the artic was there. When Colombus explored he landed in North America which is what he really thought was Asia. This eventually led to many explorers explorering North America looking for gold. There was no gold in Canada which was where some of the explorers landed.
