Who Is Chandragupta Maurya?
* Chandragupta Maurya was the founder and the first ruler of the Mauryan Empire. Warlike. People believed he was intelligent and an ambitious ruler. Divided the country into building an empire and conquered. Had plans to unify and build an empire out of many small kingdoms in the northern India. Strictly enforced harsh laws. He reigned over a complex bureaucracy. Oversaw massive public worlds projects, which included Great Royal Road. Became a monk and fasted until he starved himself to death. Tortured threats, well organized. Had a strategy to conquer outer land and then move to inner.
Who is Ashoka?
* Ashoka Inherited Throne in 273 BC and began like his grandfather until 100,000 people are slaughtered. Turned to Buddhism and spread peace
