The Underground Railroad and Ohio
The relationship between Ohio and the Underground Railroad was very important. Cities in Ohio such as Canton and Hudson were stops on the railroad. From those cities slaves spread out to other Ohio cities on their way to Canada.
Why did Jim Crow laws exist even after the Civil War?
Jim Crow Laws in the south had seperate facilities for Blacks and Whites. They had seperate water fountains, bathrooms, and lunch counters. They were still enforced after the C. W. because white people wanted them.
