What is the difference between skin type and skin condition? |
Skin types are hereditary. They are determined by the amount of oil secreted by sudoriferous glands
Skin conditions are caused by external factors (e.g. incorrect products or the weather) |

What kind of care do you give to a skin condition versus a skin type? |
Skin types can only be controlled not treated ( e.g. putting a lipid barrier on dry skin). Skin conditions can be treated (because they are caused by external factors), e.g. rehydrating dehydrates skin. |

How does normal skin look/feel? |
Touch: soft, smooth, supple, firm, doesn’t feel dry or oily Looks: even skin tone(good circulation), no excess oil (can be oil but not too much), small/invisible pores. Only occasional breakouts |

How do you care for normal skin? |
Cleanser: foaming (massage in for rosy complexion) Toner to cool skin Moisturiser (dot on and massage in with fingertips in light upwards strokes) |

How does dry skin look/feel? |
Lacking in sebum: Look: flakey patches, fine lines (around eyes and mouth), very fine pores Touch: Rough,or coarse to the touch, thinner than other types of skin. |

How would you care for dry skin?

Cleanser: creamy to melt away dirt.leave in skin then sweep away with cotton wool. Use thick creamy moisturiser to seal in moisture |

Fresh and clean (may be oil but not excessive) |

Smooth and comfortable |
