Predicate
The action of a sentence. "The fluffy dog ate his food." "Ate" is the simple predicate of this sentence.
Common noun
A person, place, or thing.
Proper noun
A specific person, place, or thing. For example, Mrs. Fickes, Park Hill School, the Eiffel Tower. Proper nouns are capitalized.
Singular noun
ONE person, place, or thing. For example, dog, school, apple.
Plural noun
Two or more of a person, place, or thing. For example, apples, dogs, schools.
Blend
Two or more consonants that work together in a word. For example, the word "cream" has a "cr" blend at the beginning.

pronoun
A part of speech. It replaces a noun in a sentence. For example: Bob drove the car to the gas station. We can replace nouns with pronouns: He drove it to the gas station.
