Myalgia (muscle pain)
S&S: dull, constant, diffuse pain. Pain exacerbated by contraction. Weakness, fatigue, and sometimes swelling. (Sharp pain and swelling are rare)

First line: NSAIDS
Osteoarthritis (joint pain)
S&S: Cartalige loss which may involve inflammation. Primarily in weight-bearing joints (knees, hips, and ankles) but may occur in fingers and rarely wrists, elbows, or shoulders. Joint stiffness, dull aching pain. Gradual and chronic disease of the joints - no episodic manifestations of symptoms like RA.

First line: APAP w/o inflammation, NSAIDS w/ inflammation
Rheumatoid arthritis (joint pain)
S&S: Fatigue, weakness, joint stiffness, arthralgia and myalgia occuring weeks before the inflammation of the joints. Inflammation of the small joints of the hands, wrists, and feet. Morning stiffness lasting >45 minutes, involves episodic increases in pain and inflammation, followed by periods of remission where symptoms subside.

First line: Salicylates or NSAIDS
