What is a short story?
A brief work of narrative fiction meant for reading in one sitting
What is a character?
A person, animal, or imaginary creature in a story
What is a dynamic character?
One who changes during the story
What is a static character?
One who stays the same during a story
What is characterization?
The ways we learn about a character
What is direct characterization?
The author/narrator comes right out and tells you about a character
