REVENUE BOND

A municipal bond that is issued for either projects or enterprise financing in which a bond issuer pledges to bondholders the revenues generated by the financed projects.

SPECIAL TAX BOND

A municipal bond backed by special taxes (tobacco, gasoline, hotel/motel) for a specific project or purpose – not by ad valorem taxes.
