Si and his 6 siblings Phil, Harold, Thomas, Judith, Jan and James had a squirrel as a pet. The squirrel could run around the house. That little redneck pet ate a hole in the board and made a nest under the cushions. Every time someone sat down a spring would hit the squirrel because the squirrel pulled out all the cotton. Their mother was so mad the squirrel got kicked out and was not allowed to come back

One of the biggest hazards of living in Louisiana is the snakes. Once Phil, Tommy, and Si went to the river to get dewberries and Phil yelled to Tommy "Look down by your right knee!" Tommy screamed and that was the fastest Si saw him run in his life. It was two cottonmouth water moccasins.

When Phil, Tommy, and Si go in to somewhere, they always use this order. Phil then Tommy and then Si.

When Phil and Si went to get honey, Si got to running and the bees were faster then him and he got stung a lot!

Si went to Louisiana Tech and served 3 years. He decided that collage was not right for him.

Once Si studied for finals with his friend all night. To stay awake they purchased a bunch of soda pop.

During the finals Si fell asleep.

Since Si was older than 18 and didn't have a job or wasn't in school Uncle Sam put him in the U.S. Military.

Before Si stepped foot in south Vietnam, He had to take go to school to learn things. After about 3 days Si asked "When are we going to get the weapons out?" The teacher responded "We haven't learned the basics" The teacher took him out to shoot and he was perfect. He was in the top 5% of the world. He got placed in ACB.

Si first step foot in south Vietnam on October 19, 1968

Si took the Deuce and a Half and inspected it. He always took the fighters to their hotel. He took them to the hotel and someone said "Robertson you're missing a tire." Si asked the fighters "Did you see anything" they all said no. So from that day forward nobody said anything about the tire.

Si's rode with somebody and took the forklift to places. The genral asked Si "Robertson do you know how to drive the forklift?" "Yes sir," Si replied. Then for a little while he drove the forklift.

Vietnamese people are like beavers. They only work at night.

Once when Si was on guard duty some Vietnamese people snuck in. Si told the guy on the tower to throw a flare in section 4, nothing. Then he told the same guy to throw a flare by the pond, There was a truck missing and Vietnamese people swimming across the pond

Si's iced tea glass is his prized possession. He will never let it out of his sight.

Si got his iced tea glass in on of his momma's care packages.
