What is DNA? |
A macromolecule that contains all of the organisms genetic code. |

What is a chromosome? |
The form the cells take before cell division. |

What is a Gene? |
Gene a segment of DNA that codes for a specific trait/feature. |

What is an allele? |
One form of gene. |
|
What is a dominant allele? |
An allele that shows up in the phenotypes of an organism. |
|
What is the recessive allele? |
An allele that shows up in the phenotype only of pared up with another recessive allele. |

What is the genotype? |
The allele combination for the trait combination (XX or Xy or Rr) |
|
What is Heterozygous? |
A genotype that has one dominant and one recessive alleles such as Tt. (Remember that the dominant alleles are represented my capital letters and the recessive are represented as lowercase letters.) |

What is Homozygous? |
A genotype with two dominant genes or two recessive. (Such as RR or rr) |

Phenotype |
The physical appearance of the genotype (Round=RR, rr= Wrinkled etc..) |
