State of a gas to a liquid

Humidity-

The amount of water vapor in a given volume of air

Relative Humidity-

The amount of water vapor in the air compared to maximum amount of vapor the air can handle

Psychrometer-

Used to measure retaliative humidity

Dew Point-

The temperature when condensation begins

Cirrus-

cloud forming wispy filamentous tufted streaks at high altitude

an overflowing of a large amount of water beyond its normal confines, especially over what is normally dry land.

Drought-

A period of thim when there is little or no rain over a peroid of time

Air Mass-

is a volume of airdefined by its temperature and water vapor

Tropical-

warm and sunny weather

Continental-

the mainland, as distinguished from islands or peninsulas.

Jet Stream-

fast flowing, narrow air currents found in the atmosphere

Cyclone-

is an area of closed, circular fluid motion rotating in the same direction as the Earth.

a large-scale circulation of winds around a central region

Storm-

disturbance of the atmosphere with strong winds and usually rain, thunder, lightning, or snow.

Thunderstorm-

storm with thunder and lightning and typically also heavy rain or hail.

Lightning-

comes before thunder

Hurricane-

is a tropical cyclone

coastal flood phenomenon of rising water commonly associated with low pressure weather systems

Tornado-

vortex of violently rotating winds having the appearance of a funnel-shaped cloud

Evacuate-

To leave an area or place

studies weather
