How do you preview a textbook assignment?
You look a the title, headings, boldface print, italics, graphics, white space, and anything else that draws your eye.
What is the best way to mark a textbook?
Pencil marks in the margins, plus notes, word best. Highlighting should be done sparingly--not more than 25% of a page should be highlighted.
What is subvocalization?
Subvocalization is hearing the words in your head when you read. Subvocalizers may also move lips, tongue, or vibrate vocal chords while reading.
What is SQ5R?
SQ5R is SQ3R plus. SQ5R is Survey, question, read, (plus respond and record), recite, and review.
What is pacing?
Pacing is using a finger, pencil, card, or other aid to help a reader establish a paced reading speed, aid in concentration, and eliminate the habit of regression.
