Georgia became a royal colony when it stopped being a trustee colony, trustees of GA decided to do away with the charter of 1732, they were giving King George the 2nd the colony

Colonists in Georgia were able to purchase and sell land, women were able to inherit property,and amount of owned land grew from 1 million acres to 7 million

Thousand of new settlers from England,SC,NC,and Virginia pour into the colony looking for vast amounts of land and opportunities

What happened to the slaves?

Colonists could now also purchase slaves,black salves arrive in Georgia,in 1759 1/3 of Georgia's population was African slaves,most employed as rice farmers
