Regulation 33 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986
Generally, all vehicles require two mirrors as follows:- 1. In the case of a motor car, on rear view mirror and one offside exterior rear view mirror.
2. In the case of goods vehicles and passenger carrying vehicles where the rear interior view is blocked, one nearside exterior mirror and one offside exterior mirror.

Regulation 105 creates an offence for any person to open, or cause or permit to be opened, any door of a vehicle so as to cause injury or danger to any person. Eg cyclists getting knocked off bikes or drivers having to swerve or paedestrians on footpaths.
