1917, contry use to be runned by Tsars who were the royal family of russia. After WWI the people want a king, and was overthrown and killed, along with his relatives. Comunism became the form of government. peasents hated Tsar,they were angry with him for getting involved in WWI. Bolshevikas (communist party) offered the people bread,land and peace.

New leaders replaced old leaders because of this new ideas were shared from the outside. government was spending to much money on military and not enough on people. People went on strike. The soviet union disbanded in 1991 and became democratic.
