°its a special form of cell division involved in gamete production.
°gametes are productive cells that contain half the # of chromosomes found in other cells
*takes place in seminiferous tubule of penis.
Takes place in seminiferous tubule of penis. what does it do?
How many gametes does both meiosis 1&2 produce?
°two part cycle of meiosis produces 4 cells(gametes) which has 23pairs of chromosomes (46)individuals one from each parent randomly
°gametes are haploid
cells & chromosomes
how many haploids make a diploid?
2 haploids make 1 diploid
meiosis is cell division, so the diploid is one cell ... what comes next?
How long for a male, does spermatogenesis produce sperm?
°spermatogenesis produces sperm from puberty thru out life.
°(FSH)follicle stimulating hormone _ stimulates the process of cell production.
men are not like women which are born with all the eggs they will ever have in a life time.
what is oogensis?
°production of oocytes (female gametes)
°one viable premature egg every 28days.
its cyclic (28)think ovulation# & remember the gametes in general become mature @fertilization.+ women are born with all in life eggs @birth .
when do oocytes become mature?
at fertilization which requires act of intercourse and penis's semen to enter cervix thru uterine tubes and in vagina.
requires sexual intercourse
what 2 endocrine hormones initiates the process of egg production?
secretion of :
°follicle stimulating hormone (FSH)
&
°estrogen
secretion on follicular area and what we loose as women progress.
what is the male reproductive duct ?
ductus deferens aka vas deferens
primarily named after founder named vas .
which part of sperm creates the chromosomes?
the head of the sperm
top
does the prostate gland contribute to ejaculation of penis?
yes it does
yes or no?
