Nose

Moves air in and out of the body, while eliminating carbon dioxide

Mouth

It helps air enter into the body

Pharynx

Also called the throat, connects the mouth and nose to the trachea

Trachea

It is the windpipe that lets air go to your lungs. It splits into two so it can reach both of the lungs and then it is called bronchi. Also called voice box.

Larynx

It's protected by the cartilage. The cartilage arches out at the front and is called the Adam's apple. Vocal cords are located here.

Bronchi

You have two bronchi and it's the main passageway for the lungs and connects to both.

Lungs

It carries waste gas (co2) through the bloodstream to the lungs where it is exhaled through the mouth.

Alveoli

They are tiny sacs found in the lungs. 300 million in each lung. carbon dioxide (co2) is transmitted from the blood capillaries into the alveoli. There's tiny sacs within our lungs that allow oxygen and carbon dioxide to move between the lungs and blood stream.

Diaphragm

A muscle that sits below the lungs and heart that plays a major role in breathing. When it flexes it creates a negative pressure that inflates the lungs.
