Nose
Where air enters the body. Bodies first line of defense for the respiratory system. Lining catches contaminants and also warms air before it enters the windpipe (trachea)

windpipe, large tube made of rings of cartilage that moves air from the nose to lungs (thru bronchial tubes)
bronchus (plural bronchi)
Major airway passage that goes into each lung
Lungs
main organ of the respiratory system on either side of the heart protected by the ribs. Inside the alveoli exchange gases between air and blood.

what most of air we breath is made up of
cellular respiration
cells using glucose from food and oxygen from breathing to make energy, CO2 is the waste product
Bronchial tubes
move air from the trachea to the lungs
Where lungs are located
either side of the heart, in the thoracic cavity enclosed in the ribs above the diaphragm

connect ribs allowing flexibility to make room for lungs to expand when air is inhaled.
