Implications of the Galilee Principle
Like Jesus of Nazareth in Galilee, the church must identify with and be in solidarity with the poor and the oppressed of the world.;
The church must recognize that there is something worse than material and psychological poverty, cultural-spiritual poverty (96/3, 97/3).;
The church must challenge the norms of "acceptability" based on wealth, power and prestige" (93/4).
Implications of the Jerusalem Principle
The church must recognize that it represents the mestizo par excellence (107/3). ;
Like Jesus of Nazareth in Galilee, the church must confront the people and structures that oppress the poor and oppressed in the name of God. But this must be done in Jesus way, the way of unlimited love.
Implications of the Resurrection Principle
The church must declare and incarnate the certain victory of unlimited love.
It must help the world redefine its idea of heroes (cf. 116/5).
It must incarnate the new universalism in its table fellowship (119/3), that prophetically announces that the kingdom is already in our midst (119/b-120/1)!
It must relativize human barriers in its fiestas of group origins (especially December 12) where it celebrates the beginning of the new creation (122/2), where everyone is welcome (121/b).
