A baby will suck on anything that is put into his or her mouth.

If one side of the baby's cheek is touched, the baby's head will turn towards it searching for the mother's nipple.
The stepping reflex
When held upright with the feet on a flat surface, the baby will make forward stepping movements.
The startle reflex
If startled by a sudden loud noise or bright light, the baby will move arms outwards with elbows bent and hands clenched.
The falling ("Moro") reflex
