Example of Downzoning |
1. Multi unit buildings to single family. 2. Multi story office building to one story office building. 3. Increase the size of lots on which a house can be built from 10,000 - 20,000 feet. Make half the number of houses. |

Density Zoning |
Regulates The number of units the buildings on the property that may be built. |

Spot Zoning |
A specific property in a zoned area is rezoned to permit a use different from the Zoning requirement for that zoned area. |

Amendment |
How a zoning law can be changed. Can be requested by either property owners or the local government. Heard by a Zoning board and than recommended to local government |

Zoning Appeals |
If the owner wants to do something not permitted by Zoning they can appeal to local zoning appeal board. They then may grant variances to the Zoning law. |
