In which two layers of the Rain Forest are the most of the animals and plant life are found?
In the understory and canopy
Why are the roots of the trees and plant on the forest floor above ground?
because of the significant amount of rain every year the roots collect moisture from the air around them
This area has a little more light. Frogs, owls, bats, monkeys and apes live here. Also it is home to the leaf cutter ants that eat the leaves that fall from above. Maybe this is why the local anteaters choose to live here.

It is very dark here. Plants and animals must adapt to the dark.

This is the layer where the tallest trees break through to the sunlight. Many of the animals up here like bright open areas. This is where you will find eagles, hawks, howler monkeys, lizards of all types and many insects.
